Raye Tredennick: Not really. Graphic design focuses on computers. It won't teach her how to draw bodies, or how to drape things or sketch things out by hand to make them look realistic. There are some fashion designers who only use computer, but it's a lot more useful to study fashion design if she wants to go into it.
Becky Mosena: I'm a graphic designer and I was never taught to sew or come up with any fashion collections on either of my courses. We design magazines, promotional material, websites, logos, tv graphics and like me, some design greeting cards.She needs to learn to draw people properly, study contemporary fashion and fabrics.
Maurice Breuning: Not really. A lot of fashion designers draw out figures of clothes.
