car insurance for dummies?

Morris Cuomo: That is the minimum coverage. that would only cover the damages you cause to others. That numbers mean $25,000 for bodiliy injury per person up to $50,000 per accident and $25,000 for property damage. So basically you dont have coverage for your car. If you plan to have coverage for your vehicle, you may be able to purchase the comprehensive and collison coverages. Collision would be, well, coliision damages...and comprehensive coverage would be if your car gets stolen or for vandalism etc.you may also consider getting uninsured/underinsured coveragewhat i suggest is that you contact your car insurance agent and ask what options you have and what additional coverages you can get. See if it will fit your budget though. There are ways to make your car insurance cheaper though by increasing your deductible and availing of car insurance discounts that may be available to you. Go and ask them. But if you think the car insurance premium is too expensive, you can al! ways shop around (online would be the best choice) and compre car insurance quotes. You will be surprised to know how many car insurance companies that would offer you much better deals. You can start getting car insurance quotes here: http://freeautoinsuranceratequote.com/car-insuranc...The most important thing is to know which car insurance coverage suits you needs and gets you fully protected but not expensive. If you can afford it, get the most coverage is what they say. Goodluck!...Show more

Amina Motzer: $100,000, $300,000, $100.000. 25/50/25 is cheap, but not good.

Collin Barter: That's bare minimum coverage. 25,50,25 usually means $25,000 coverage for bodily injury each person (in your car), $50,000 each accident, and $25,000 property damage limit. The $500 deductible is probably for collision coverage (you pay the first $500 damage and the insurance covers everything over that amount). The quote you got SHOULD spell it all out for you.I hope you also get! uninsured/under-insured motorist coverage. This will protect ! YOU if you get hit by someone who HAS no insurance or not ENOUGH to coverage damages to YOUR car and YOUR medical bills....Show more

Mark Villifana: You really need to have a talk with your insurance agent and have him or her explain to you what you are buying.

Julee Lanham: You arent blanketed except it says so on their coverage. more effective than possibly in case you do not personal a automobile then you definately are an excluded driver on their coverage meaning you actually won't be able to force the automobile. (not even backing it out of the driveway). the only way you are able to force their automobile and under no circumstances be on their coverage is to have them contained in the automobile with you.

Gladys Worthing: 25/50/25 is not good. It is bare minimum. call for a couple more quotes and pick their brains so you can educate yourself about insurance. Tip: If possible, pay your insurance annually or semi-annually. Paying Monthly can be a ! rip off because you will pay more for the same coverage and there are other bad things to consider about paying monthly. Sometimes with some companies you can't cancel it til the "term" runs out. In other words if you move and want to cancel your insurance, they will make you keep paying til the "term is up. With a annual or semi-annual policy, you may cancel at anytime and receive a pro-rated refund...Show more

Bryant Pillitteri: This is pretty minimal coverage in terms of liability. Minimum you should have is twice that coverage!
