why are online gamer addicts like this?

Clemente Schoeck: It actually does affect some people's lives, because they have nothing better to do, or they are looking for an outlet to display whatever stress they do have in real life. I'm sure you have encountered some players on games like Metal Gear Online, Modern Warfare 2, Battlefield Bad Company 2 and so on.,. that have called you so many ridiculous names and did some really stupid things to you and others. This seems to happen only in shooters.Like, when you are "owning" someone at the game, then all of a sudden they get one headshot on you... they either start calling you a "noob" even though they lost a lot, or they t-bag you because they got pissed for losing in a fair fight. There's a lot more, but you get the point. These @sshole players feel like they have something to prove. They are Rambo individuals who love nothing more than their stats on the game they play, yet most of them go to great lengths to creating fake statistics by either Boosting, using a! Lag Switch, or even teaming up with other players to defeat new players over and over again for easy stats (which is like Boosting). These players take the game way too seriously and make it their life. Whatever life they had or have in the real world sucks for them, so they project that in the game... which makes sense depending on what they put up with in real life.Overall, the point is that the players you mostly see really don't have a life, and that they only want to ruin the gaming world for everyone else because they are:1.) Not confident in their own skill, which usually resorts to what I mentioned above, including "kill steals" per say.2.) They are mad about losing so much, so they call other players' names like "noob", "fgt", and "lol" a lot...and probably attack their own teammates out of fustration.3.) When they win so much, they get arrogant and feel like they are superior to everyone else, yet they cry and scream over one loss against a player that is supposed! ly less skilled. 4.) Most even try to only master one way of ! fighting, and call every other fighting style "noobish" when they get pwned by it because it screws up their own play style. They are not adaptable or don't want to be, so they bash other players for using certain skills that SEEMS overpowered, but really.... they are just plain stupid and won't TRY to figure out how to counter it. 5.) When an actual girl arrives on an online game, most players will feel like they can seek her as an immediate girlfriend or something like that and make TONS of sexual jokes. These people clearly have no girlfriends, or they are just horn-dogs.I know how you feel. These players suck more than any REAL NOOB. Games like World of Warcraft and many other online games usually get ruined due to players who can't handle a single loss....Show more

Salvador Prchlik: i play ps3, so i dont waste money paying to play online i get it free, but we do it becuase things like call of duty give yu an adrenaline rush, they are made to give you a white knuckle experience, and once the game hits #1 selling all time (ahem... call of duty black ops) everyone cares about who highest, whos better then who ,and who deserves to be worshipped for their skills ho! pe i helped

Leticia Laiben: I used to be a gamer addict. To Fat P! rincess, Assasins creed, i don't know, just games in that section. My effect was ignorance, I would get short with people and only want to talk about games. If they brought up something out of game-place, I'd not be interested. And once I was so into the gaming spirit i had my first best friend online LOL. I was also getting fat, by suking on icypoles while i played. But really, the game was so good and i was becoming a pro. Well I'm going into another subject. Some people think yes, it makes them stronger as a person in real life. They are too drugged up in electronic world they don't understand....Show more

Porfirio Cahall: he isn't talking about fps, he means games like world of warcraft. and the reason is, is because it gets very competitive online. online games is a place where anyone can be the big man on campus. you don't need skills, talent, muscle etc. just a keyboard, mouse and grindtime. it attracts people who want to show off and don't realise how much i! t doesn't matter in real life.

Mee Blumenfeld: i don't understand this either.i have been gaming for 35 years and have always had fun with it,like i thought you were suppose to do.many people who play online take the fun out of playing online because they always have to win, they don't know how to loose.they have either spent hundreds of hours leveling up there character to a god like status or they have modded there character this way,to me this just takes away all the fun of the game.i think you are right that for some of them, this probably is there greatest achievement in life.all i can picture is the episode of south park with the guy playing wow with his god like character and just killing every one in the game, because he can, what fun is this,i just don't see it.when i play a video game, yes i like to win but if i loose i don't get all flipped out crazy, rage quite or say that the other person or people cheated some how,i go on with my real life, its just a game.hope! this helps....Show more
