Somer Distilo: I think you're meaning 'visual imagery'.There is a lot of pathetic fallacy used to describe the mood -- that is, using seasons and weather. Since most of the book is set in Summer, it's hot and everyone is moody.E.G, it's raining at the funeral, which is sad, etc. etcAlso... The use of colo! rs is greatly used. Grey- Corruption, destruction, etc.Yellow (Gatsby's car) - like fake gold, worn out, not realWhite - purity...etc. etc...
